EADF 2012
European Aerial Dance Festival
19th – 24th August 2012 at the Corn Exchange, Brighton, 2012.
2012 saw us host the 3rd European Aerial Dance Festival which ran for 6 days this year.
With no funding we had to rely upon the generous support of South East Dance, Brighton Dome and Festival and begged, stole, called in favours from all our friends, to whom we owe a huge thank you, it couldn’t have happened without you!
This year, Mon – Friday we taught classes in: yoga, dance, counterweight harness and flying, corde lisse, fabric, vertical dance – wall running and counterbalance, injury prevention, stretching and massage for all levels from beginners through to advanced. On the Sunday we also offered an all day creative fabric lab for advanced practitioners alongside an inclusive aerial dance workshop which proved very popular.
We had a great week and as one participant said: ‘It just wouldn’t feel like summer in Brighton now without the EADF!
